Life story

A Farmington Churchgoer

Rebecca Olmstead was born around 1622, daughter of Richard Olmstead, and arrived in Boston with her uncle James in September 1632. She married Thomas Newell and settled in Farmington, Connecticut, enrolling in the town church in 1663 and receiving a legacy from her brother John's will around 1686. Rebecca died in Farmington on February 24, 1698.
