Life story

Lost at Cape Breton

David Eno was born August 12, 1702, in Windsor, Connecticut, son of James Eno, and inherited land from his father around 1709, placed under the guardianship of his uncle Samuel Phelps. He settled in Simsbury, Connecticut, marrying there in 1726. David died in June 1745 on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, likely during the colonial campaign against the French fortress of Louisbourg that year.
