Life story

A Family Bible

Rachel Swartwout was born April 10, 1669, in Kingston, New York, daughter of Roeloff Swartwout and Eva Bradt, and married Jacob Kip in Albany in 1695. In 1739 she gave her son Roeloff a family Bible. Rachel died in the mid-eighteenth century, the exact year uncertain in the surviving records.
