Life story

A Rhinebeck Farm

Johannes Kipp was born April 14, 1702, in Kingston, New York, son of Jacob Kip, and settled in Kingston before moving to Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, where he farmed eighty-seven acres. In his September 1758 will, Johannes left a third of his estate to his wife and divided the remainder evenly among his children.
