Life story

A Hatfield Selectman

Daniel White was born around 1638–1639 in Hartford, Connecticut, son of John White, and settled in Hatfield, Massachusetts, from 1662, serving the town as selectman eight times and earning the rank of lieutenant by 1692. He inherited twenty pounds and a share of his father's estate in 1684. Daniel wrote his will in July 1713, leaving four pounds to Hartford's church and naming his son executor; his estate, aside from the homestead reserved for his widow, was valued at 365 pounds. He died July 27, 1713.
