Life story
A Salmon Brook Soldier
William Hayes was born April 5, 1725, in Simsbury, Connecticut, son of the elder William Hayes, and served in a Connecticut regiment during the Revolutionary War. He was among the earliest members of the Salmon Brook church and married twice, in Simsbury and again in January 1761.
