Johan Adam Rosenberger

Born February 16, 1800, in Schimborn, Electorate of Mainz, Holy Roman Empire (now Germany). July 28, 1840: Adam and his family and his brother John arrived in Baltimore, Maryland, USA aboard the ship Clementine which had departed from Bremen. He married February 11, 1827, in Schimborn, Bavaria. He died August 1871, in Ray Township, Franklin County, Indiana, USA.

From Schimborn to Indiana

Johan Adam Rosenberger was born on February 16, 1800, in Schimborn, in the Electorate of Mainz, and married Margaretha Hartmann there in 1827. On July 28, 1840, he and his family emigrated with his brother John, arriving in Baltimore aboard the ship Clementine out of Bremen, and settled on a farm in Ray Township, Franklin County, Indiana. In his August 1871 will he left his real and personal property to his only biological daughter, Anna Margaretha Amrhein, and $5 apiece to his stepchildren. Adam died that same month, in August 1871.
