John Fuller was born March 1, 1653, in Woburn, Massachusetts, son of Thomas Fuller and Elizabeth Tidd, and married Rebecca Putnam in April 1672. He died young, in 1675 or 1676, without a will; his estate, largely a house on five acres, was valued at over 122 pounds, and his widow arranged for each of their children to receive twenty pounds upon coming of age while she kept the remainder.
