Life story

A Farmer's Church Loan

Andreas Neises was born in 1689 in Rodt, in the Electorate of Trier (now Germany), and worked as a farmer and member of the church synod, marrying Eva Bösen in January 1719. In 1736 the couple borrowed thirty reichsthaler from the Taben parish church, putting up several properties as collateral. Andreas died in Rodt on July 12, 1770.
