A Loyalist Family's Move

Johannes “John” Schram was born April 9, 1759, in Loonenburg, Greene County, New York, son of Johann Wilhelm Schram, and married around 1785. Between 1791 and 1794 he held several lots of land in Grantham Township, Upper Canada, part of the wave of settlement following the American Revolution. Johannes died December 17, 1851, in Pelham, Welland County, Canada West, at ninety-two.
