Bought and sold several lots in Xenia with John. Daughters Sarah (1861) and Katie were born.

A Xenia Household

Sarah Cullen (also written Cullin or Cullein) married John Rowan, an immigrant from County Galway who worked laying track for the Little Miami Railroad, in Xenia, Ohio, in July 1858. The next spring the couple bought a lot in the Allan & Wright Addition of Xenia for $112.50, and in 1864 they sold it for $600 and bought another lot for the same price. Their daughters were Sarah, born in 1861, who married Amon E. Kelble and became Ben's great-great-grandmother, and Catherine (Katie), who married Lewis Heaton.

When and where Sarah died has not been found, but John had remarried by about 1870, when his next family began. The Cullen connection stayed alive in the family: her namesake, a Miss Sarah Cullen, died in 1901 while visiting her granddaughter's family on South West Street, and Cullen cousins from Dayton visited the Kelbles in the 1920s.
