Life story
Following Reverend Warham
Ann Dover married William Phelps in Crewkerne, England, in November 1626, and sailed with him and their children for Massachusetts in March 1630 aboard the Mary and John, arriving that May and settling in Dorchester. Ann was recorded as the first woman to follow the Reverend John Warham's congregation onward to Windsor, Connecticut. She died in 1635 or in August 1689.
