A Rodt Lay Jurist
Johann Neyses was born in Rodt, in the Electorate of Trier (now Germany), son of Peter Neyses, and served as a schöffe, a professional lay jurist, and as a member of the church synod. He married Margaretha Berens in Taben in January 1696 and died in Rodt on January 13, 1724.
